Liverpool Town Hall Conservation 13 images Created 26 Apr 2014
Built in 1754 to a design by John Wood Jr of Bath and then augmented by James Wyatt at the end of the C18th Liverpool Town Hall stands as a symbol of pride at the heart of the historic city.
During the WWII the town hall was damaged by the blitz and the east facade, in particular, took the brunt of shrapnel and debris.
These photographs document the conservation of the east facade including gentle cleaning and some replacement of the carved stone details.
